Oilers beat Kraken 3-1 as McDavid reaches nine points
The Edmonton Oilers defeated the Seattle Kraken on Saturday for their second consecutive win. Connor McDavid had a goal and an assist, while Owen Michaels and Leon Draisaitl also scored for Edmonton. Devon Levi made 19 saves for the Oilers. Draisaitl scored the go-ahead goal with 2:27 left in the third period.
The Alberta Pandas lost to the UBC Thunderbirds after taking the lead twice in the first half. Mayeling Henry Rodriguez scored two tries for Alberta and Kate Alcock made four conversions and a penalty kick. The Pandas have one regular-season match remaining against Lethbridge at home on Friday, October 16.
