Mark Carney’s national AI council will advise Canada on AI safety, adoption, research, talent and sovereign technology.
A Lancet review of 2,790 studies involving more than nine million participants found health concerns associated with digital media use among young people. Among young people aged 10 to 24, the review identified links to mental-health problems, reduced physical activity, substance abuse, self-harm and suicidal ideation. Researchers say access to technology companies' user data is needed to assess the severity of the issue.
