Notes

During a snow event this answers the question Edmontonians actually ask — has my priority route been plowed, and is a parking ban in effect. Strong seasonal brief item November through April.

LICENCE LINKED 2026-10-12 (owner: a licence link wherever possible): its dataset on data.edmonton.ca states its licence as 'See Terms of Use' (licenseId SEE_TERMS_OF_USE, read 2026-10-12 at /api/views/<id>.json), and the portal's Terms of Use link opens the Open Government Licence – City of Edmonton v1.0 (story msh8-if28). WIRED 2026-08-23: read by pipeline/sources/snow.py as the `snow` fixture for the page (model-free; raises on failure so the rail records −1). Rendering is the front end's; contract in docs/INSTRUMENTS.md. Aggregated by priority/route_stat/serv_ach with $group (no geometry fetched); `active` false while every status is NA (2,227 segments on 2026-08-22). SEASONAL — status fields read 'NA' in summer (dataset updatedAt 2026-06-01). Suppress entirely outside winter. Payload is heavy because every segment carries full MultiLineString geometry; use $select to exclude geometry_line when you only need status. Catalogued but NOT WIRED as of 2026-08-21. Its mode has no generic collector and no code refers to this endpoint, so nothing fetched it and no health record ever existed. Disabled so the registry stops counting it as coverage; the entry is kept because the endpoint was verified and this is a wiring backlog, not a dead source. See ops/wiring.py.
