Notes

All-categories building permit feed including residential and infill. The construction_value and units_added fields make it the base for weekly/monthly 'construction activity is up N%' aggregate stats as well as individual large-project items.

LICENCE LINKED 2026-10-12 (owner: a licence link wherever possible): its dataset on data.edmonton.ca states its licence as 'See Terms of Use' (licenseId SEE_TERMS_OF_USE, read 2026-10-12 at /api/views/<id>.json), and the portal's Terms of Use link opens the Open Government Licence – City of Edmonton v1.0 (story msh8-if28). HIGH VOLUME — ~126 permits per 3 days, mostly small residential. Only usable with a value or unit-count threshold. No lat/long on this dataset (jsf3-5dv2 has it); join on address if you need to map. Note the misspelled field `neighbourhood_numberr`.
