Edmonton council to review Gorman, Garneau and Girard rezonings

Edmonton city council is scheduled to review rezoning applications in Gorman, Garneau and Girard Industrial this week. The Gorman proposal would allow more medium- and high-density development around a planned LRT stop. The Hope Mission has applied to rezone a Girard Road site for an emergency shelter and wellness facility for up to 125 people. A Garneau application would permit greater site coverage, an additional 2.5 metres of building height and a smaller rear setback.

Note These are city-wide council decisions, not this councillor’s individual votes. Meeting recordings reliably state the outcome and often the tally, but rarely name who voted which way, and we will not infer it.
